Cushman & Wakefield today announced that, effective 1st June, Josh Cullen and Gordon Marsden have been appointed to key leadership roles within its Global Capital Markets platform. The appointments underscore the firm’s commitment to strengthening investor relationships and accelerating cross-border capital growth.

Josh Cullen has been appointed Head of Capital Markets, Asia Pacific. Based in Sydney, Australia, Josh brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate, including over eight years with Cushman & Wakefield, where he has played a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s Capital Markets presence across Australia and the broader region.

In his new role, Josh will focus on deepening relationships with major institutional investors and enhancing the firm’s regional connectivity to drive revenue growth. He will also lead efforts to increase market share by ensuring strong participation in major investment sales and recapitalisation opportunities across Asia Pacific.

Josh Cullen, Head of Capital Markets, Asia Pacific, said

“This is an exciting time for our business in Asia Pacific. We have a strong platform and exceptional talent across the region, and I look forward to further strengthening our relationships with institutional investors and capturing new growth opportunities as capital flows continue to evolve.

“Asia Pacific remains one of the most dynamic and strategically important capital markets regions globally, and Australia will continue to play a central role in that story.

“While this role expands my regional responsibilities, it also provides our clients with greater access to Cushman & Wakefield’s broader Asia Pacific network, cross-border relationships and capital market opportunities.

“Australia has been a major driver of capital activity and investor engagement across the region, and we see significant opportunity ahead as capital flows continue to evolve.”

Gordon Marsden has assumed the role of Head of Global Capital, APAC & EMEA. Gordon brings over 25 years of experience in real estate, spanning strategic advisory, investor relations, capital raising and brokerage. In this role, he will focus on strengthening engagement with the world’s largest institutional investors, working closely with in-country teams, cross-border desks and strategic accounts to grow wallet share from top-tier clients.

Gordon will also continue advancing the firm’s global capital intelligence capabilities, leveraging tools such as the Global Capital Markets Console to support brokerage and advisory teams worldwide, while contributing to cross-regional initiatives through the Global Capital Markets Leadership Group.

Gordon Marsden, Head of Global Capital, APAC & EMEA, said

“Global capital is becoming increasingly interconnected, and our ability to provide clients with actionable intelligence and seamless cross-border execution is more important than ever. I’m looking forward to working closely with our teams to deepen client partnerships and unlock new opportunities across regions.”
James Young, President - Markets, APAC & EMEA, said

“These appointments reflect our continued investment in talent and platform capability as we accelerate delivery of our Global Capital Markets strategy.
