Jon Hubbard

Jon Hubbard, Head of EMEA Hospitality at Cushman & Wakefield, will retire from the business at the end of September following an outstanding 40-year career in the hospitality industry. Fred Le Fichoux, Head of Hotel Transactions EMEA, takes over leadership of the team.

Since joining Cushman & Wakefield in 2017, Hubbard has played a pivotal role in building the firm’s EMEA hospitality platform, expanding its regional reach and global connectivity and adding top talent in Europe’s key hospitality markets, while maintaining a leading role on significant transactions.

James Young, President – Markets, APAC & EMEA at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Jon has enjoyed an exceptional career and is recognised as one of the hospitality sector’s most respected advisers. His leadership, expertise and commitment to clients have been instrumental in shaping our EMEA Hospitality business into the successful platform it is today. I’ve enjoyed working closely with Jon throughout his time with the firm and congratulate him on his contribution to Cushman & Wakefield. Fred is the ideal successor to lead the team, with the experience, insight and leadership to build on this strong foundation and continue delivering outstanding outcomes for our clients.”

Jon Hubbard, Head of EMEA Hospitality at Cushman & Wakefield, said: "I feel so lucky to have been able to work throughout my career in such an exciting sector and with some truly exceptional clients, who have influenced the future of hospitality, as well as with so many talented colleagues and peers. Looking back, the change within the hotel sector, and in working practices, since I started in 1986 is incredible and I am sure the sector will keep on rapidly evolving to meet the ever-growing global demand. I'm incredibly proud of what we have built together at Cushman & Wakefield and confident that the business is well positioned for continued success."

Le Fichoux brings more than two decades of experience with Cushman & Wakefield and a proven track record advising clients across the hospitality sector. Since 2024, he has led the firm’s EMEA hotel transactions business, building on previous leadership roles overseeing hotel transactions in Continental Europe and the hospitality practice across Central and Eastern Europe.
Over the course of his career, Le Fichoux has advised on transactions spanning the full hospitality spectrum, from landmark city-centre assets to luxury resort destinations. Notable assignments include the sale of the Sunčani Hvar hotel portfolio in Croatia and the sale of the Augustine Hotel in Prague to Kempinski Hotels. His experience also encompasses hotel valuation, operator selection and development advisory services.

In his new role, Le Fichoux will lead the next phase of growth for the firm’s EMEA Hospitality business, building on a series of senior appointments in key markets, most recently Luis Arsuaga as Head of Capital Markets Hospitality in Spain in April, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to delivering best-in-class advice to hospitality owners, investors and operators.
