What impact do GACS and EPBD IV have on your building, portfolio, and investment decisions?

Under the EPBD regulation, non-residential buildings must, from January 1, 2026, be equipped with a Building Automation and Control System (GACS) if they have a heating or cooling system with a capacity of 290 kW or more. By 2030, this threshold will be reduced to 70 kW.

Aike Hensums, Sustainability Consultant, would be pleased to discuss what this obligation means in practice and how Cushman & Wakefield can help you make the right strategic choices in time.

With Jos Hesselink & Rosanne van den Eijkel

The European security landscape is fundamentally changing, and this has a direct impact on how the Netherlands approaches the use of space. The Ministry of Defence faces an unprecedented real estate challenge in a country where space is scarce.

During this session, Jos Hesselink (Head of Research at Cushman & Wakefield Netherlands) and Rosanne van den Eijkel, MRE (Program Manager Real Estate, Ministry of Defence) will discuss the implications for the real estate market.

How can Defence scale up within the constraints of grid congestion, nitrogen regulations, and spatial planning? And what role can market parties play?

A conversation about decision-making, collaboration, and intelligently balancing security, economic value, and future-proof use of space.
